Coenzyme Q10 or ubiquinone was discovered in humans by Lamberts consultant Dr. Len Mervyn. It is a vitamin-like substance found in the mitochondria of all cells in the human body. Mitochondria are cellular organelles whose primary functional role is the production of energy from the nutrients in food. Energy production amounts to 55% of the total amount of energy derived from food consumption.
