Is a microalgae (Chlorella pyrenoidosa) with high nutritional value. Its name comes from the Greek word for green, Chloros, and the suffix -ella meaning small. It is the richest source of chlorophyll, containing also amino acids, carotenoids, vitamins, and mainly vitamin B12, metals (calcium, phosphorus, iron), carbohydrates, enzymes, fatty acids, and total proteins in a concentration greater than 58%.
